Rex and Meredith served as a Certified Therapy Dog Team for over 5 years. This unique support empowered students & clients to regulate emotions, lower stress & anxiety levels, build relationships, and overcome challenges.

Rex, a lab-mix, was immeasurably loved by the Kunkle family in his retirement. Rex was rescued and raised by the Kunkles soon after he was born. He was a star student throughout his training and became a Therapy Dog at age 3. He was a member of LISD's Muttley Crew of Therapy Dogs for 5 years and served in many crisis and therapeutic settings.

Meredith Kunkle and Rex completed all required training and testing and held their certification as a Therapy Dog Team through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. If you have questions about Therapy Dog certification or opportunities to interact with a certified Therapy Dog, please inquire.
